Individual Therapy

Our clinic provides tailored individual counselling and psychotherapy sessions for various issues and concerns. Please contact our office to see if your support needs are within the practice scope of the clinician.

There are many reasons that individuals reach out to our clinic for counselling and psychotherapy services. Below are some of the case examples that our clinician currently or has supported individuals with, but not limited to:

  • Diagnosed or undiagnosed mild to moderate challenges associated with neurodiversity (e.g. ADHD, ASD, etc.), depression, anxiety, and trauma responses.

  • Gender identities and sexuality related challenges and issues such as transition or surgery related supports, family conflicts, acceptance, rejection, self-worth, etc.

  • Concerns related to sexual health, out-of-control sexual behaviors, and sexual dysfunctions.

  • Individual parenting support and consultations including adoption, kinship, and biological (by birth) parenting.

  • Making sense of and processing childhood (developmental) and complex trauma, including sexual abuse and chronic neglect both physical and emotional.

  • Racial minority stress and trauma caused by systemic racism and microaggressions.

  • Issues or difficulties related to post-secondary education and peer relationships.

If your presenting concerns or challenges are considered severe, it may be necessary to consult with a medical professional first such as physician or psychiatrist before contracting a mental health clinician. Should it be required, the clinician will advise you to take steps to ensure that you are receiving appropriate care without delay.
