Tara Lewis, MSW, RSW
Associate Clinician | Individual & Couples Therapist
Tara (she/her) is one of our Associate Clinicians and individual & couples therapist. She is a registered social worker, psychotherapist in good standing with the OCSWSSW (reg# 838359). Her style of psychotherapy is approachable, compassionate, and responsive to each person’s unique needs. Tara is also an approved NIHB provider.

Professional Experience:
Tara has many years of experience in supporting families and individuals within social service organizations and health care settings. Notably, Tara previously worked in a palliative care setting, residential treatment centre, harm reduction and sexual health, and women’s health care. Over the years, she has established a collaborative approach to psychotherapy focusing on the many forms of anxiety and sadness that can come from changing life circumstances.
Education & Training:
Tara holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Lakehead University. She has also completed the following training courses or programs, but not limited to:
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for grief & loss
Narrative therapy and community practice
Brainspotting (Canadian Prairies Institute for Midbrain Therapies)
Addiction care and treatment (UBC Faculty of Medicine)
Midwifery education (Toronto Metropolitan University)
Professional or Clinical Memberships:
Tara maintains an active professional membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).
Clinical Supervision:
Tara is currently receiving an ongoing external clinical supervision and participates in peer group consultations for professional development.
